The Department has faculty strength of nine. Besides conducting the
Honours course in Mathematics, the faculty also teaches Mathematics to
students doing honours in other subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and
Computer Science. The department society ‘Matrix’ organizes quizzes,
seminars, lectures and trips to encourage development of well-rounded
students. The departmental library has a rich collection of books
besides the titles available in the main college library. Books are
issued to students throughout their academic session from this library.
Students also have ready access to computers for learning various
software like Mathematica, Matlab etc.
